July 13, 2018 A typical Monsoon day

An isolated thunderstorm over Bisbee.

July 8th, 2018 Springkle and rainbow in Huachuca City

Series of thunderstorms produced moderate rain from east of Huachuca City to Huachuca mountains in the evening hours. Huachuca City received only sprinkle.


A big storm fired up near Green Valley and the tower of storm was visible from Huachuca City/Whetstone area.

A small storm moved into Huachuca City right after sunset and dropped 0.07" of rain.

May 6th, 2017 Mulberry Fire

Mulberry Fire : Started on May 6th, 2017, location 31.963, -110.674, burned 1,755 acres and 4 homes.

Heavy smoke column rising. Taken on 3:14PM.


A surprise storm produced rain right on the fire and helped firefighters to put out the fire.


April 25th, 2017 Sawmill Fire north of Sonoita

Sawmill Fire : Started on April 23, 2017, Location 31.782, -110.842, burned 46,991 acres. No home loss.

Smoke rising from Santa Rita Mountains, near the origin of Sawmill Fire.


Fire jumped Las Cienegas Creek around 12PM and heading to Whetstone Mountains. Taken around 5PM.




Smoke from other side of Whetstone Mountains, seen from Huachuca City. Firefighters did great job and stopped the fire before spread up to the mountains. It was absolutely amazing job under 30 to 40 mph wind gusts condition.

February 4th, 2017 Beautiful Day and Sunset

A beautiful day of February, 70 degrees with nice breeze through afternoon then sunset painted high clouds in orange/red color. Sunset was not very good, but quite enough to enjoy watching.
